About

Engineer Mario D. Alvarado combines experimental practices, biofeedback sensors, musical composition, and audiovisual performance in his hybrid projects. He is a musician, composer, and creative programmer who merges technology and art to create music based on body movement, brain waves, heart rate, and breathing. Using software algorithms and biofeedback sensors, he transforms the human body and its biological processes into musical-visual pieces. His project, MDAP (Mindfulness Data Audiovisual Project), allows users to explore their role as composers and creators, leading to various effects such as sound therapy, mindfulness, and psychomotor exploration.
